I've decided to stop lumping all my #PaintedSkies into gallery posts/threads. It shows that I worry they don't stand alone as single images. Maybe they do, maybe they don't - but the same could be true of many of my landscapes!

The sky certainly put on a show tonight. Sunlight coming in through Saharan dust, catching on wonderfully textured clouds, including a patch of mammatus which rather stole the show!

I have a growing love for clouds which look like landscapes (can't think why!), a bit like the first of these.

But later on, shooting towards the setting sun, a cloud bank was rolling in, and the light caught in the wisps along its fringes. I equally like these more abstract, indistinct views too.
