This project started with a warped table top that needed fixing first 🤍
After repairing it, I used a soft paint wash finish to add a hint of color while still letting the wood grain shine through. Such a simple but beautiful technique!

A drawing from 30 years ago done while living in Barcelona. I found miniature traditional farmhouse chairs at a store in the market La Boqueria. The market, in the centre of Barcelona, sold mainly food. It was my daily route from home to the studio. I couldn't resist the lovely little chairs that reminded me of Van Gogh's bedroom chair.
