Paul O'Grady had a fascinating career. He was also an animal lover and that's how I first became aware of him. That's probably weird since I'd assume that the vast majority of his fans first knew him as Lily Savage. He was an advocate for so many good causes but it was his work with #Battersea that made him endearing to me. It's not often that a celebrity death truly saddens me, but this does.
