Mobile game idea: Real World Multiplayer Throw & Catch

Saw Kitsune at the #OttFringe Ottawa Fringe Theatre Festival, a story about the Japanese fox spirit, partly about its glowing soul gem which got lost after a game of catch with the audience. I came up with the idea of "throwing" light between phones. Add sound and you can come up with all sorts of game ideas.

I'm just surprised nobody has implemented it yet. Did I miss something?

Fringe Theatre Festival Vistor Schedule Optimiser

A web app for scheduling attendance at theatre performances so that you don't miss the shows you want, and pack in as many as possible while avoiding duplicates.

I've updated my #FFVSO scheduling program with actual 2025 #OttFringe Ottawa Fringe Theatre Festival show run times, for the shows I've seen (now 25 shows!). That means you can schedule more accurately and not unexpectedly have to run between LabO and Nouvelle Scène theatres in 7 minutes (got in thanks to that new latecomer 7 minute admission rule).

Visit https://web.ncf.ca/au829/FFVSO/index.html if you want to try it out on your schedule, or copy and hack up mine to make your own.

After some fiddling and rearranging, I've finished my first draft of a schedule to see maybe 53 shows at the 2025 #OttFringe Ottawa Fringe Theatre Festival. As usual, I used #FFVSO to try out different options, https://web.ncf.ca/au829/FFVSO/index.html if you want to try it out on your schedule or edit mine. If I can survive it, and shows don't get cancelled, that will equal my old 2014 record!

I finally had time to type in this season's #OttFringe Theatre Festival show times into #FFVSO, my scheduling app for Fringe Bingers. Pack in dozens of shows into as short a time as you can fit them. My record is something like seeing 53 shows in one Fringe.

Another #OttFringe Ottawa Fringe Theatre Festival starts today. I’ve updated my #FFVSO web app https://web.ncf.ca/au829/FFVSO/index.html with the show times and travel times (walking time between venues taken into account) to new venues.

I used it to make my schedule; hope to see 48 shows. Will I be able to remember 48 shows? Even if I don’t, it will be fun.

@jaybaltz Congrats on joining the extreme Fringer club! Not sure exactly how many #OttFringe theatre festival shows you have to see to be extreme, but 38 definitely counts!
About to see our 38th and final play of the 2023 Ottawa Fringe Festival 😄#ottfringe #ottawa.
We are about to see our 26th show at the 2023 #ottFringe Ottawa Fringe Festival! #ottawa.

I've updated the #FFVSO (https://www.agmsmith.ca/FFVSO/index.html) Fringe Theatre Festival Visitor Schedule Optimiser web page with the latest #OttFringe show cancellations, so you can use it to figure out your own schedule complexities.

Personally, I missed seeing Admission so that's one less show for my total, so my rival "That Walking Guy" could take the lead! But I'm planning to see The Merkin Sisters again to fill the gap. This time I don't have to take notes and can sit back and enjoy its weirdness.

I had a surprisingly good time at "muse: an experiment in storytelling and life drawing" at the #OttFringe theatre festival. It's audience participation where you draw a nude model. Then chat while drawing, with quiet background ambient music. Skill isn't important (as you can see :-). As usual, I also took notes on the stories that were told.
