Post performance euphoria is a crazy sensation. The closest description would be a “butterfly effect” as time begins to move back to normal.

Performing slows time as focus becomes concentrated, listening and observing every micro-movement of the group and conductor. Remnants last for hours and it takes a toll on the body.

The performance was sensational. The soloists played the tango from True Lies as an encore (cause they can). Wow.

Beethoven was good, actually!

The soloist today is Andrew Sords. Likely the most talented person I’ve ever had the joy of playing with.

The knot in my upper back didn’t clear up. It isn’t as loud as yesterday, but its most definitely still there.

Full set run through.

Woke up with a knot in my upper left back, right along the shoulder blade. It’s not pleasant for practicing.

Fingers feel good today, fast even. Not practicing at tempo, but it is coming together well. I’ll put in another couple of hours this evening. Have to be careful not to over do it with the hands.

Curtain up in one day.

Made it through the long day of meetings.

Unplugging and returning to myself now.
Back to Beethoven and Bologne.
