And finally, “Symphony No. 1 in G Major, Op. 11 (https://youtu.be/JpeLMajSdPk?si=Aj5gZ3GNknQ_jzch) which was written in the early 1770s and was considered by Joseph Bologne to be one of his finest works. The movements are , again, lively but in a very dance-y way compared to some of his other work.

Despite sometimes being referred to as the “Black Mozart” and their shared penchant for utilizing much of the full range potential of the violin and use of rapid upward scales, Chevalier’s work pre-dates that of Mozart.
