12 years ago, #telecomix's #opsyria gathered video evidence of repression in #Syria. The regime was getting it removed from YouTube by reporting it so we downloaded the videos to prevent their disapparence.
Syrians sent us URLs, dates, locations and descriptions, and the videos were duplicated to the Telecomix Broadcast System website.
Sadly, TBS and its content later went dark.
Turns out, I found a few hundred videos in a backup. I should probably stop sitting on it.

Just the response I got when I showed this a self-proclaimed "old moralfag" named #Netzblockierer.
His words were like:
"13 years ago that kid would've gotten some serious talk on an IRC and made to know that such behaviour is unacceptable and won't be tolerated. But I guess #Anonymous further fizzled into dissolution after #OpSyria failed spectacularly..."

Weder führt das abnerven von Lohnarbeiter*innen bei unbezahlter Arbeit aka. Pemdeln dazu, dass jene etwas ändern (können) noch dass die Politik sich zu deren Gunsten ändert.
Ich weiß wie Menschen zu nützlichen Idioten gemacht werden. Bin nicht erst seit Gestern.auf der Welt.
