3/100 may seem a little strange, as it is after all...a #shoehorn. This #Alessi Germano was designed by Harry & Camila and was a gift from my uncle when I went to visit him in Leigh-on-Sea. I adore Alessi and relish the seemingly mundane chore of putting on shoes when doing so involves this piece. Maybe that's weird or lame. But I'm the arbiter of what's cool to me, so on the list it goes! 💙

I was lucky enough to pick this one up for $150 before most people had heard of them and they were old enough to have depreciated significantly, but not old enough to be collectable. 2/100 is an incredibly special #mug. It was a gift from Dale Dougherty, the cofounder of #OReilly (and founder of @makemagazine), whose #books I've been obsessed with for as long as I can remember.

The Whole Internet User's Guide and Catalog, by Ed Krol, was a 1992 guide to the online world, its name an obvious homage to Stewart Brand's Whole Earth Catalog.

In 2020, early in the pandemic, I had an idea for a series of tweets or videos or some form of content where I would share #OneHundredCoolThings. My thought was that I have so many amazing things around my office, workshop, etc. and nobody else gets to experience them because of lockdown or just generally not being able to host the entire world at my home. Not going to pressure myself with a specific cadence, and maybe the pictures won't be perfect, or I won't hit 100, but let's give it a try. 💙
