Went to #Ohayocon to meet a friend of mine whe flew in for the weekend - it's much smaller than #GalaxyCon and the Friday crowd was thin, but while I was there I ran into Richard Epcar who played two of my all-time favorite anime characters - #DaisukeJigen from #LupinThe3rd and #Batou from #GhostInTheShell. Also there was Ellyn Stern, who voiced numerous characters throughout the Lupin series and films - then I learned these two were married, so naturally I got matching autographs #anime

The real question no one is asking is who is going to replace Ohayocon when it's permanently canceled? Or will people just travel to a corporate con or a big convention instead when it happens?

Because right now, no one is preparing for a replacement con.

Looks like some unfortunate drama going on around #Ohayocon - some sort of parent organization appears to have removed a lot of senior leadership. Screenshots are of text posts from the announcements channel on Ohayocon’s Discord.

Ohayocon 2012 entry in the MMV (Manga Music Video) Category. Won best MMV, Audience Favorite, and Best of Show! Edited with Adobe CS5.5: Photoshop for coloring and layering, Premiere for general compiling, and After Effects for all of the motion graphics. This video was created just for Ohayocon. I've done just about every other genre of AMV, so when they added the manga video category, I got right to work. I wanted an upbeat song and a manga series from about 10 years ago. I love the old Yugioh manga (it's so dark!), and when I heard Poker Face, the idea stuck.
