A quick repair to an Oberheim Prommer this evening. This gadget arrived totally dead, just blinking the bar graph LEDs on power up.

Root cause turned out to be a faulty 16MHz crystal which is the main clock for the instrument. Replacing that brought it back to life! Finally, we swapped out the battery, calibrated 5V and ran all the internal diagnostics. Works great again!
