#DNS #OARC42 summary of day 2: testing DNS is hard, lots of things to take into account + "nothing is linear, even if you think it is"; IPv6 is hard... at least for the DNS so don't expect anytime soon to switch off IPv4 (middleboxes as always are the problem, but we can't expect those to be fixed anytime soon; instead make authoritative servers distrust recursive in their bufsize signal, cap at 1232 always), and next meeting will be in a zoo because of some joyful metaphors.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the DNS is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
