This morning the littlest one and I got the second-ever train from the new Northumberland Park #NorthumberlandLine station.
We were going in to Newcastle to see the Chinese new year parade and I realised the timing worked nicely to go on his favourite train.
The train woman from YouTube was there and probably caught the little one looking excited, but I've forgotten her name. If you know who I'm talking about, is she on fedi?
The #NorthumberlandLine is going to run through to the metro centre on Sundays, starting from 14th December! Exciting!
So metro trains only go to the city centre, but normal trains go to the metro centre. 🙃

The timetable for trains on the Northumberland Line will change from Sunday 14th December 2025.The new timetable will see trains on Mondays to Saturdays generally run around 7 minutes later than they do now in each direction. On Sundays, the trains will generally run around 2 minutes later than they do currently.We'll also see a new later train from Newcastle to Ashington at 23.21 on Mondays to Saturdays which will improve night out opportunities along the line, with this being requested by man

Almost perfect - just need active travel links to Ashington Station, and Councillors/ Architects/ Planners to actually ride a bike to understand reality!
Can anyone who's used Seaton Delaval station tell me if there's bike parking there? The Northern website says the #NorthumberlandLine has "Convenient cycle parking at stations" but the national rail site for Seaton Delaval says there's no bike parking.
Is it just incomplete data?
