I didn't see them after comforting K3, unfortunately, because I'd have loved to thank them.

on the ultrasound they had both feet on top of their head at one point so we know they're flexible like that.

How I came out to K2's favorite kindergarten staff member (who I know is queer) today...
Her: I just got certified as a lactation consultant, so if you or someone you know needs it...
Me: oh, queer-friendly lactation consultancy, that's great! That whole thing is so cis-hetero-normative!
Her: um, it's none of my business of course, but are you...?
Me: I'm non-binary, yeah. Also, bisexual.
We then talked about pronouns and addresses a bit, and it was very good 💙💚💛🧡❤️
I give the trainer the sports team registration form for K1 I filled out.
Trainer: you wrote "parent" as your relation to K1
Me: yes
Trainer: why?
Me: because I'm their parent
Trainer: are you their mother or what?
Me: what does it matter? I'm their parent
Trainer: um. I've never seen that, but I suppose it's okay?
I sure hope it's okay to be a parent.
Phone call from human resources.
"I'm calling about you reporting your pregnancy"
Me: "sure, is there a problem with the form?"
"You've crossed out "pregnant woman" and wrote "pregnant person" everywhere. Why?"
Me: "Because not just women get pregnant"
"Like what?"
Me: "Trans men can get pregnant, so do nonbinary people"
"But YOU are a woman?! You don't have a 'diverse' gender marker!"
Me: "That's actually none of your business?"
"But why did you cross it out then!"
Weil ich vorhin drüber gestolpert bin: was könnte man denn neutrales statt "Mutterschutz" sagen?
Eigentlich ist es ja eine "Schutzfrist rund um die Geburt", aber das klingt halt sperrig.
Und ich meine spezifisch diese rechtlich besondere Zeit, danach gibt es ja die neutrale "Elternzeit".
I don't know why I'm shocked when I see things like this, given she refuses to accept my children with their names and gender & ridicules their existence. My heart aches truly to know this is the kind of belief she has & what it has cost my children.
