Elimination of the penny coin will not stop capitalism from giving us the “best” price that is one cent less than the rounded dollar figure.
It WILL absolutely be an excuse and justification to force consumers to spend 4 cents more than a listed price because change for cash transactions can no longer be made.
Encouraging more people to use digital payments which have added expense in transaction costs and convenience fees is the desired outcome for those trying to take over currencies adding them to their social media apps. Collecting data on everyone’s transactions is mining wealth.
Anyone else have the leadership to get up and act out in at least speaking factual truth out loud?
