Drawing a sketch to be used as an illustration for a blog post was a fun experience. it is better than searching for stock image or (Veles forbid this) use an AI slop generator.
And, in reality... It takes not much more time. Quite comparable.

Not sure why I did not tried this approach before. Maybe because I expected it would look awful.
BTW, my wife said it look great, and it was quite validating.
