Got a new book and I’m pumped: Lo-TEK Design By Radical Indigenism. The living root bridges have been kicking around in my ol noggin for more than a decade now and I’m pretty sure that kind of design paradigm is one of the many bright possibilities for nurturing a future that is not an extractive hell realm of war and callousness. I’m not saying cool bridges will save the world, but I am saying that they probably have a better shot than any shitty PowerPoint floating round in some beige office about numbers going up.
