#GoogleNews used to have a feature to just completely lock out certain subject areas, and I had sports turned off. That feature seems to be gone, and the #algorithm can't seem to get a clue that some people have pretty much ZERO interest in #sports

Spent an amusing 20 minutes blocking every #sports source that came up on my #GoogleNews feed. Occasionally I would cycle through and refresh as an increasingly desperate #algorithm tried to find content to fill the feed. "No? No? Then CHESS! Surely you'll like CHESS!" We didn't get down to tetherball or Frisbee golf, but I'll be back to block more...
