Getting back to work after holidays… sucks. Even if you love your work… but as you gradually start working the old habits kick in, the new energy shows up and the coffee helps… and after a few hours of slow start the fun shows up again. And the sense of accomplishment.

Amazon is mandating employees relocate closer to regional hubs such as Seattle to be closer to their teams or resign without severance. This is different from prior RTO mandates in that you now need to be in the same office as your team not just join Zoom calls from the Amazon office closest to you. I love the battery life on my M4 iPad Pro. The OLED screen is calibrated so well that it doesn’t use any battery at all.
Today I was recording a new episode of the #NoOffice podcast and I was using the iPad as my reference-material device - checking show notes and talking points.
After a whole hour of recording the podcast, the battery dropped 1%. That’s right: ONE PERCENT.
