Is this really the only way?

We often describe options as having no alternative. But this is almost always nonsense. Because “no alternative” is already an evaluation.

Technically, we also have at least the do nothing alternative: leaving everything as it is.

Really sad to hear of David Crosby's passing. He was and continues to be one of my absolute favourite singers.

I'm saddened and also a bit frightened in general by the thought that fewer and fewer of those who remember the alternative 60s are left. Soon it'll be all like "but we have always done things this way"...

J'ai l'impression que le jeu c'est de faire peur aux gens avec l'xd pour légitimer le libéralisme en place #NoAlternative.

Que l'xd progresse avec la crise migratoire, la crise économique, le terrorisme ... Rien de surprenant. #WhatDidUExpect

Mais comme la réponse c'est : frontière, stigmatisation, repli, plus de libéralisation ... C'est pas prêt de changer.

Et on est en face d'une stratégie de fuite en avant...
