One of the highlights of this summer has been this 2-day biking trip I did with my brother. We started from Jyväskylä, made our way down to Kärkistensalmi, over it to Vespuoli, and camped next to a lake somewhere in Ylä-Sydänmaa.

The climb to Taipaleenharju was brutal, but the views were amazing. After Oittila the roads were small gravel roads and there were a lot of climbs, and that was really taxing. It had rained on the same day, and the soft road surface was like cycling in tar. The campsite was a sight for sore eyes!

The next day we made our way back to Jyväskylä via Rutalahti, Nisula, and Oravasaari. It was easier, but some parts in Nisula were really sketchy with my hybrid bike. My brother's
#Katadyn that we were using to get water from lakes and streams failed, but we were supplied with fresh water by a lovely local couple we passed by.

Things I forgot to pack this time: cutlery (!!!). Things I packed but didn't use: too many.

I didn't take good pictures on the second day so here's a summary of the first.
