Heute ist der 50. Todestag von Florence "Pancho" #Barnes. Kennt ihr nicht? Die hatte das Fliegerlokal in #TheRightStuff. Im echten Leben war sie Stuntpilotin, Mitglied der #NinetyNines, brach 1930 den Geschwindigkeitsrekord von Amelia #Earhart – und wurde mit ihrem Lokal 1953 ein Opfer der #frauenfeindlich en Stimmung in den #USA, speziell in der #Airforce. Das Lokal in #Muroc, mitten auf der #EdwardsAirforceBase, brannte merkwürdigerweise und sie gab es auf.
