@ai6yr - here in ‘socialist’ Canada (and a majority of Western nations), we don’t have a monthly bill from a federal agency or profit-making medical insurance / health care provider.
Regardless of party in power.
We may have the same issues as folks in the US - cost of housing, food prices, work paying a living wage - but we needn’t worry monthly about finding ourselves on the street because of employment status, income and of a gouging medical system.

So thanks to a national health plan (and - for the most part - politicians who don’t genuflect to Trump, have a face like a tub full of elbows, and don’t believe vaccinations make you a Trans Democrat), I got both my COVID and Flu shots at my local pharmacy this afternoon, for free. Just walked in.

In Circular 2024-0020, #PhilHealth said the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act or #RepublicAct11861 provides for automatic inclusion of #SoloParents and their children to the #NationalHealth Insurance Program.
