We were lucky to be able to see into Aso Volcano's active Nakadake Crater 1 today! The cloud ceiling descended during our time at the volcano and it started to rain. As we walked down to the Aso Sanjo Terminal to catch a bus back to Aso Station, we could see the crater observation area enveloped in clouds. The weather improved away from the central volcano peaks in the afternoon. But, the peaks still remained in the clouds. #AsoVolcano #Nakadake #volcaniccrater #Aso #Kumamoto #Kyushu #Japan
