The second port of call on our 2008 cruise was the only one we didn't book an excursion in because nothing appealed. Naha City on Okinawa was enjoyable enough and we loved the vending machines, oddities in shops, and bright colours of it all, but it felt a little too American for our tastes, and not what we really wanted to see when travelling in Asia.
