It seems #NH27 retired due to an electrical shut down, after gravel triggered the emergency 'E' pull ring.
This is a 2 position switch that cuts electrical power on position 1 and sets off extinguisher on position 2.

Drove Shehzadi, our world-touring Toyota Tundra, from Udaipur into Gujarat over the epic NH-27 with its Aravalli tunnels and mountain passes. Stopped for a tasty veg Punjabi thali at a dhaba in Chekhla. Gujarat border police checked for alcohol (dry state!) then posed with Shehzadi. Reached Radhanpur via Palanpur.
