You know I was using #twm window manager for several weeks as I was bootstrapping #nextspace on #freebsd and I gotta say, for minimalism, that thing is flipping nice. Virtual desktops and a max/min to full screen are the only things I didn’t get just so.
LAYEREDI just discovered this very interesting project called #NEXTSPACE.
NGL part of my investment in #freebsd and #nextspace and #gnustep is to make sure I can have a computer platform that’s middle age eyes friendly in terms of contrast and font size. Because the vibe coding machines don’t give a shit about that kind of experience.

feRecently I installed NEXTSPACE on my computer, a NeXTSTEP-like desktop environment for Linux. I've been loving every second of it!
I also started looking into making applications using their frameworks and it reminded me a lot of SmallTalk! Built this silly BMI calculator while learning the basics.

Johannes Brakensiek@tylerburton Well, I‘m still using @objfw and #GObject mainly so I don‘t really know first hand. I think Base/Foundation still is used for production to port some apps to Android. Regarding #GUI/#AppKit @mos_8502 created some patches to make it more look like some kind of Mac OS X. And before war in Ukraine trunkmaster applied some patches for better multi display support for #Nextspace.
