It is indeed good #cycling country: #NCR7 (Inverness - Glasgow - Carlisle - Tyneside) / #Eurovelo 1 #EV1 (Atlantic Coast Route) crosses the region, passing through lovely Glentrool Forest on the way. 🚲🌲

Yesterday I decided to leave the #sustrans national #cycling route again. #ncr7 was too much of a detour to get me to Dumfries and the #ncr74 seemed to use bike paths along huge A roads (at least on the map). Quiet roads, even very small lanes that I had almost to myself (except a few army jeep convoys). Even the A713 didn't have much traffic.
I had forgotten how beautiful #Galloway is.
