And there we are, with all but two polls reporting, all 49 seats now have projected winners.
And with that, that's where I shall leave it tonight, as the Liberals take a decisive win in the #NBElection. Susan Holt will become Premier in a few days, while Blaine Higgs is out of the legislature.
The Liberals have made gains in the vote share in those parts of the province where it mattered.
Incoming Premier Susan Holt tells supporters that voters are ready for a change, and that it's up to them to deliver a new, collaborative politics.
Only two ridings left in doubt.
It doesn't matter to the overall result, though of course it does matter to the candidates in these ridings.
Blaine Higgs is not the only member of the cabinet who is out tonight. Six in total have lost their seats.
Blaine Higgs announces "leadership transition" within the PC party (i.e. his resignation).
Higgs has been defeated in his riding of Quispamsis.
BREAKING: Blaine Higgs has been DEFEATED in Quispamsis.
Update in Quispamsis:
One poll left. Blaine Higgs is trailing by 141 votes.
This is a part of the reason that the Liberals were able to win a majority tonight.
Next to no swing in the areas that are already their strongholds.
Outsized swings in the regions where they needed to make gains.
When David Coon tells supporters that Blaine Higgs is no longer Premier, they sing Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye.
I love how, out east, these kinds of events are held in pubs rather than large ballrooms.
