I spotted a Common Myna bird on Midsummer Common when I was out on a run this afternoon. They're native to central and south Asia.

I am all caught up in the drama of local bird society in my street.

So much so that the other day I was saying to myself:

"Oh damn, that crow is back stealing food from the magpies? The three mynahs who live in the big tree are going to chase him off though, oh yeah here they come!"

and that was all based on HEARING ALONE. Just sitting in my office with an ear out for chirps and squawks and fluttering.
