Joe B. WallA modern inclusion in cameras that's lost on me is telephoto lenses and the impetus to zoom in on everything like a nature photographer.
Footlong lenses or weird erecticle assemblies on point-and-shoots feel clonky or doomed to break, and I prefer to get what I can see from where I'm standing or use my feet to zoom. I get why people like them, I suppose, but I'd rather have a smaller camera that's suited to what made me want to catch a shot in the first place.
