This natural event enchants observers and offers a unique opportunity to study the social behavior of these creatures.
Baja California is a marine hotspot, hosting at least five species of mobula rays. Among these, the Munkula mobula, commonly known as the Devil of Munk or the pygmy Munk mobula, is the most common. It is currently classified as a vulnerable species on the IUCN Red List (International Union for Conservation of Nature).
