Just finished the newest #MuderBot book, most enjoyable mindless mayhem

 Heya #muderbot readers, how did you like Platform Decay (book 8, just released)? I'm hesitant to pick it up because book 7 (System Collapse) was my least favorite of the series, and book 8's synopsis reads as "more of the same".

Here's what I wrote about System Collapse:

A competent story, but it feels like a filler episode: no character development for Murderbot or it's crew. No real trans-humanist themes, it's mainly about human politics.

Does Platform Decay return to developing it's characters, or is it another action mission?

A new Murderbot! Oh joy! Oh rapture!

I finished Murderbot in a very “I’m too tired to watch this right now, but I will restart every episode I fall asleep in” kind of way.

Good show!

(Might need to rewatch the last two episodes to be sure)

#AppleTVPlus の「#マーダーボット」、5話目でようやくちょっと面白くなってきた感。

ただ1話が毎回約25分と、ちょっと短いんだよなぁ〜。

このドラマに関しては、もう少し長くした方が良いと思う。それかもう少し展開早くするか。1話1話の内容がちょっと薄いので。😅

Must say #muderbot is great — the space hippies are too infuriatingly like mainstream, centrist democrats who self-sabotage at every possible opportunity tho’ and then tell you the mess they’re in everyone else’s fault.

Still, it’s great satire.
