I first watched it during Xmas 1993 while staying with my girlfriend and her family in Canberra. My girlfriend was born in Helena, Montana. Her Pop still lived there. Her mum had so much to say about this film and of Norman Maclean. I bought myself the DVD, and later, the 25th anniversary edition of the novella. One day I'm getting a tattoo of water running over river rocks in memory of those who loved me and have now passed.
This is also the movie where I learned that Brad Pitt was dreamy, and Craig Sheffer's brilliant lead role as Norman couldn't undo that. 🫠
