Was digging through some stuff and realized I met #Moongirl before she was Moongirl

Celebrating #MoonGirlandDevilDinosaur for #BlackHistoryMonth! Debuting in #Marvel Comics in 2015, writers Brandon Montclare & Amy Reeder (who also designed MG) were hired to make a sequel to Jack Kirby’s Moon Boy & DD. It inspired an awesome #Disney+ show which won 5 Emmys during its 2 season run.

I was able to pick up this graphic novel inspired by the animated series at Rose City Comic Con and have it autographed by the writer Stephanie Williams.

I’ve long thought this 2005 LEGO dragon would make a good #devildinosaur but could never stomach the price tag. So glad I finally found him for a decent price without wings! I reversed the direction of his body to create more of a T. Rex shape.

It was a lot of fun making a #customminifigure of #moongirl I cut up official #lego sticker sheets, finding her moon emblem on a DC Super Hero Girls sheet, and her knee pads & helmet stripe from a Speed Champions polybag. Her hair is attached to her helmet with a wad of sticky tack!
