Hats need more use in shrinking stories. I love them as a first sign that something is off. Character goes to put their favorite cap on and it goes over their ears and covers their eyes.
Later on they shrink all the way down and realize they can stand completely inside their hat.
Current story obsession: A group of fantasy adventurers take on a contract to help out some ratfolk living in the walls and under streets.
Wizard has a spell to shrink the party so that they can actually interact with their clients and do the job, but the moment the party meets their contact, they realize the wizard shrunk them to mouse size, not rat height. So, everyone they meet and fight is about twice as big as them.
I have a shrunk dragon character who needs to find clothes more appropriate for a kobold, and I’m in love with the brand name “Small Scale” for kobold underwear.

I need the classic western “This town ain’t big enough for the both of us” standoff but with shrink rays. In the end, both gunslingers get hit and the town seems plenty big enough now.
What character/show that never got a size episode do you wish did?
For me, Swat Kats. We had mutations and whatnot, but the main duo never got to experience growth or shrinking. Would have loved to have seen the pair Macgyvering gear from parts twice their size or operating a shrunken jet now the size of an RC plane.

I need to open a gym. The back room should be enough. Instead of a changing room, we have a closet where gym-goers get shrunk.
All the workout equipment is everyday objects: pens and pencils for weights, cork board and pins for a climbing wall, tea bag for punching bag.
Bit of a problem if someone wants to take gym selfies, though. Now that they’re smaller than the phone.

Contemplating giving my OC a roommate for short story set during his college days. I love the idea of a short fennec not understanding this wolf’s fascination with shrinking.
It gives a nice benchmark for OC’s size-changing, and gives him some clothes to borrow while shrunk.
Plus, I love the imagery of this shrunk wolf basically being the same size as his fennec friend but he still looks smaller because his ears aren’t as big.
