@TechConnectify I'm honestly surprised this happened to WBEZ. #publicradio is so important. #MichiganPublic (formerly #MichiganRadio) is how I first learned about the #FlintWaterCrisis -- long before it got the national spotlight.

This morning on #MichiganRadio #NPR, I heard a story about a southern lapwing, a South American bird, found living in Oscoda, Michigan. The name "lapwing" was vaguely familiar to me. I looked it up and confirmed it is known as "quero-quero" in Brazil. I saw them there many times while I was living in that country. They remind me of a much larger version of the killdeer I know from Michigan.
