#TheKinks headlined with #CockneyRebel opening at the vastly undersold 4000 capacty #MichiganPalace theater #OTD in 1975 at Bagley and Grand River in downtown #Detroit . Earlier in the prior year, the giant theater hosted the last #Stooges show, a bottle tossing biker melee. The venue later became a parking garage by the latter 70's...and is now a shuttered monolith of 20th Century #MotorCity life, just one of once vaunted but now vacant big bldgs in the ghostly downtown.
