I’ve noticed there isn’t a day of the year dedicated to celebrating #MersennePrimes, so why not make today, May 7, the 127th day of the year, #MersennePrimeDay? (And May 6 on leap years.)

127 (2^7-1) is both a #MersennePrime and the exponent of a much larger Mersenne prime (2^127-1), and the largest Mersenne prime below 365 (the next one is 8191). It’s also the largest number you can store in a signed 8-bit integer value.
