Why did I choose this song:
Helloween is a very old and famous german power metal band. While many people associate with them the "happy metal" sound but that was not always the case. Their debut was on an compilation album called "Death Metal". It cointained noise, death/black/thrash and speed metal. The first Helloween album "Walls of Jericho" has still a lot thrash metal in it. "The Dark Ride" is the ninth album of the band but the first one i heard and it has still a lot of harsher and harder influences without losing its soft and friendly touch. While some albums sound like mainstream radio music others simply dont. Few other bands have proven over such a long time that they are capable of doing something new each time.
