#MediLog supports 3rd party apps sending links to the MediLogs Diary section so you can relate your physical activities to other topics you are tracking.

We try to extract as much data as possible from such links but are dependant on what the vendor shares.

Below the vendors we currently support. The share links created by vendors are of different quality:

Strava offers nothing, unless you sign in
Sigma at least shows the type of activity
Coros reveals some good statistical data

Clicking on the respective link will take you to the url which was sent to MediLog.

If you got a different vendor, send us a sample link and we’ll see what we can do.
New #MediLog release v3.6.5 is available as of now.

No major bugs to fix, main reason for this release is the push by Google to add my developer code so the FOSS flavours of MediLog can still be installed after Google locks down sideloading.
See here for more details: https://keepandroidopen.org

### New
- Activate first input field when tab is selected with a double click to speed up data entry. Really cool once you get used to it!
- tag support for blood-pressure and oxygen tabs
- ...and with the Google developer hash that I am forced to add to allow my FOSS apps to be installed once the new Google developer registration kicks in 😒

Keep Android Open

Your phone is about to stop being yours. In September 2026, Google will block every Android app whose developer hasn't registered with them.

Upcoming #MediLog Release 3.6.5 - ready to test.
Aside from a few bug fixes it comes with a few new small features such as...

- QuickEdit: Activate first input field when tab is selected with a double click to speed up data entry
- !QuickEdit: Activate first input field when a new record is added to speed up data entry
- tag support for blood-pressure and oxygen tabs
- ...and with the Google developer hash that I am forced to add to allow my FOSS apps to remain install able once the new Google developer registration kicks in 😒

After much back and forth I finally bit the bullet and started to implement automated tests for #MediLog. This always felt like I had to write the app a second time, and it is close to it. But after completing ~10 tests, I start to see the value, especially in corners I don’t use myself, which may hence get less testing in subsequent releases.

This should significantly improve the amount of testing I do and in consequence lead to higher quality MediLog releases.
New project website, moved all #MediLog content from my home page to this https://medilog.zell-mbc.com dedicated web presence. Added a blog and plan to crosspost newsworthy topics on the web and on the Fediverse. Also supporting RSS.

This is my first attempt at using Hugo and some things are still work in progress, but let me know if you spot something. 🙃

Issue at #F-Droid is resolved. There will be a new #MediLog release v3.6.3 which is primarily a technical release for F-Droid. If you get MediLog from any other source there is no urgency to upgrade.
New #MediLog release v3.6.2 is available as of now. As usual a few bug fixes and finally the long asked for feature to create a pdf of a chart so one can print or send it on.
For some reason F-Droid has not yet picked up the previous v3.6.0 release, let alone this one. Need to investigate

#MediLog v3.6.0 is available as of now. Aside from a few bug fixes this release introduces custom emojis / themes and support for changing the language for MediLog independently from the OS language.
v3.6.0 is also the release which will start moving off encrypted databases. If your db is encrypted v3.6.0 will automatically migrate to an unencrypted one upon first launch.
Ever since Android introduced default file system encryption the database encryption on top of the OS was mostly pointless. This change will significantly reduce app complexity for me and the size of the installation for you.
