When a #YouTube thumbnail has a simple math equation and says most people get it wrong, I can’t help but feel like I fell for clickbait or something.

What do you mean, many people don’t get the Order of Operations?

I suck so bad at #Math. I hate Math with the burning passion of the heat of a thousand suns, and haven’t gone to school in years….and EVEN I can tell you that 10 ÷ 2 x 5 = 25.

So anyway, I solve the answer in my head and wait for the video to tell me why I’m wrong and why a lot of people get it wrong.

Nope, I was right.

But why is this bugging me so much that I was right? Because I was hoping for there to be some sort of trick or something, like an exception to a rule, that makes it a common mistake.

Turns out that, according to the video, it’s because some people take PEMDAS a little too seriously and think you have to multiply before dividing because M comes before D in PEMDAS.

I’ve never heard of that before, but alrighty then.
