I do wish there was a way to greenlist certain accounts on an otherwise redlisted (fedilimited) instance. #softwareWish #mastoWish

#MastoWish: real life CWs.

I just hate when I'm forced to listen to the news, maybe war related news, in the underground or in a public space. I don't want to hear what you want me to listen to, please

A pretty big #mastoWish: Multi-account support in the web interface.

With Pinafore as a frontend, it's possible to switch between different accounts (and obviously I can have a number of instances in browser tabs).

I would like to see multi-account support similar to the SubwayTooter Android app though:

- timelines from several accounts in a combined UI
- seamless interaction using any of these accounts with all posts, regardless of source
- access to the public API of foreign instances

instances should be able to control federation more than just "defederate after a problem comes up." Features like:

* support allowlist based federation rather than blocklist, as a server config option
* Request-based federation (any local user can request that a new instance be added to allowlist)
* Automatic allowlist, but flag new peers for admin review
* Transitive allowlist, where close peer instances can recommend new peers
* Blocklist sharing and export for instances that want to stick with blocklist management (integrate #FediBlock into the software, and credit @\[email protected] as appropriate) (avoiding a @ mention here to avoid potential canoeing)
