There is an easy way to showcase your friends on your web profile when others view it! All you have to do is:
1) open their profile
2) click the menu dots on their profile
3) Select "Feature On Profile"
4) Done!
If you pick more then 4 they will randomly shuffle each time the page loads! #MastoFAQ

The follow list doesn't federate very well, if you want to look at it closer you should go check out the off site profile page (just click through on the profile picture).
Extra tip: You can add any fediverse, mastodon/pleroma etc. url that you find in the wild to the search bar to find them in a format that you can share with your followers by boosting.
Try copying the url to this toot, or any toot you see in the TL, by right clicking on the time stamp, and copy link address.
