Especially when we know (because it's always discussed at hearings despite being "not a consideration" in every application) that the real reason for felling the trees is to be able to fly heavier planes over the homes of our city
The planning inspector dismissed Southampton Airport's appeal against the refusal for their tree felling application (yes, it's complicated, if reading that a few times still doesn't help I'll be happy to explain more) in #MarlhillCopse
This is another small victory that no doubt precedes another set of applications and hearings either with the Secretary of State or back with the local council.
