Volvo Penta stellt den vollelektrischen IPS-Antrieb vor. Der neue „IPS electric“ kombiniert Elektromotoren direkt mit dem bekannten IPS-System und ermöglicht Konfigurationen mit zwei bis vier Antrieben. Funktionen wie Joystick-Steuerung, Autopilot und virtueller Anker bleiben erhalten. Marktstart für das erste Modell IPS 900E (515 kW) ist im 4. Quartal 2025, weitere Varianten bis 1 MW folgen. Strom wird an Bord mit Generatoren erzeugt.
