We have previously written about various industrial Raspberry Pi systems and gateways that come with RS-485 built in, but we had yet to cover a dedicated RS-485 Raspberry Pi HAT. To fill this gap, EngineElectronicAccessories, a developer based in Sweden, has introduced the "Industrial RS485 / Modbus HAT" designed for industrial automation, monitoring, and the OpenPLC open-source PLC suite. The board features an onboard RS-485 transceiver with TVS diode protection and supports long-distance communication over the RS-485 standard. It uses the Pi’s hardware UART interface and includes Tx/Rx LEDs for diagnostics. The board also accepts 7V to 32V DC input, so you can power both the HAT and the Raspberry Pi directly from a standard 24V rail, eliminating the need for a separate USB power supply in a control cabinet. Nach Umstellung meines LAN-Ports im #PV-Wechselrichter funktioniert die 2026er-Version der #Sungrow-#Modbus-Integration für #HomeAssistant von #mkaiser inzwischen vollständig bis auf einen Parameter:

Stellt man "export power limit" per GUI oder Automation ein, so wird der Parameter durch die Integration sofort verändert (durch 10 geteilt und dann auf 1000 gedeckelt).

At Embedded World 2026 in Germany, EDATEC launched the ED-AIC1000, a compact industrial AI camera built around the Raspberry Pi CM0 and designed for machine vision and industrial automation applications, such as quality inspection, object detection, and production-line monitoring. It integrates a 1.3 MP global-shutter camera with a sampling rate of up to 120 FPS, along with motorized autofocus M12 lenses, and three independently configurable lighting zones for reliable imaging. The camera also integrates a 12-pin M12 industrial connector that provides 24 V power input, 100 Mbps Ethernet, RS-232, a trigger input, and an isolated digital output. The system supports H.264 encoding/decoding up to 1080p, consumes up to 24 W of power, and comes in a rugged aluminum enclosure measuring 67 × 46 × 46 mm, designed to operate in 0 °C to 60 °C environments. Modbus — это открытый и очень распространённый протокол обмена данными в промышленной автоматизации. Он работает по модели master–slave: мастер (например, PC-приложение) запрашивает данные у ведомого устройства (ПЛК), получая или записывая значения регистров. На практике Modbus кажется простым — всего лишь массив 16-битных регистров. Но как только возникает задача читать типизированные переменные, поддерживать несколько проектов в одном ПЛК, минимизировать количество запросов и безопасно работать с соединением, всё быстро усложняется. В этой статье я описываю реальный подход, который использовал для чтения и записи переменных из ПЛК и отображения их в приложении на C#.

Как подключить ИБП Энергия Smart к мониторингу NUT

tldr: ИБП использует Modbus (а не Megatec/Voltronic), параметры BAUDRATE = 9600, DEVICE_ID = 10, START_ADDR = 30000. У меня была задача - купить ИБП для домашней системы хранения / homelab сервера. Идея была купить что-то не слишком дорогое, с возможностью подключения внешних АКБ и мониторинга через стандартный протокол NUT (Network UPS Tools, стандартный протокол по которому можно мониторить UPS в linux, NAS типа Synology и т.д.) .

@greenwood Hi, ich habe seit Juli eine #Altherma 3 R W und nutze derzeit auch die #Onceta App von #Daikin mit #homeassistant Für die Steuerung bzw. zum Auslesen nutze den Daikin #HomeHub, welcher #Modbus nutzt.

Ich werde mal probieren, ob das Tool auch funktioniert, wäre tatsächlich der Hammer.
