September #OpenStreetMap stats in the #Philippines : new volunteers contributing to #MaPampanga of @HOTOSM_Ph 🎉 doubled editor numbers compared to August.

Meanwhile, the #OSMaPaaralan project volunteers has gone past 60% of the tasks, with 32,185 total schools in OSM

For #KnowYourContributor we had #OpenStreetMap contributor Emman_P who enjoys guided mapping activities, especially with #MAPampanga.

They think that "the dominant challenge [to contributing to OSM in the Philippines] is Internet connection"

Let's continue to contribute to #MAPampanga.

Kudos to @[email protected] , and the #OSMPH volunteers.

Last night's #WeMap session had ~37 participants not just from the #Philippines but also folks from#Australia, #Mexico and #NewZealand.

Thank you to everyone who made the session possible, especially those who contributed during #MapaTime and validated data in #Pampanga, for the local #HOTOSM #MAPampanga campaign to create better #OpenData for disaster preparedness.

Dacal pung salamat (thank you) to all participants, volunteers, and crew from the local #OSMph and other map-py friends

Last month, contributors to #OpenStreetMap in the Philippines made 14,130 map changes, a 21% drop from February surge due to #Taal2020Eruption activities.

Despite that, number is above the PHL average for 2019.

The drop in contributors (still surprisingly high) and the map changes is attributable to the #covid19PH response in the country.
