If #LoG (#LoopOnGround) antennas aretrending in the #ham_radio world for their lowered noise floor for RX, and if #möbius loops are also known for their lowered #RX noise floor, why have I seen a a large möbius loop on the ground? 🤔 #hamradio #antenna

Just like last year (which was a fail), this summer includes experimenting with 160m antennas.

In addition to possibly #LoopOnGround & a #SlinkyInvertedVee or #LoadedVertical I'm seriously considering trying to make a larger-than-most #MagneticLoop for 160m.

Did some more daytime testing, and it really does work, a lot. I didn't think it was supposed to be great above 40m, but all the way up to 10m it was dropping the noise floor 3-4 S units, to the point where I discovered the squelch control was on. On 12, there were several contesting stations that I couldn't even hear above the noise floor on my EFHW, but could pick out well enough, maybe 56 or 57.

A+, would recommend to any urban ham with a small lot. #LoopOnGround
