so as per my older post, let me yap about the zelda x ff collab idea i have in mind and am writing a doc about
i imagine it as a series of raids based on a bunch of major boss fights from several entries, leading up to a final raid against ganondorf, with the rewards being rupees (vendor currency that could be exchanged for smaller collab items like furniture, mounts or minions), loz-themed high ilvl gear and the usual gil+exp
lore-wise, the story is about an aether disturbances in mor dhona that cause a wormhole opening, resulting in link and zelda somehow making it to eorzea; due to the disturbances and loss of weapons, them going back would result in certain death, as they were in a midst of the usual journey. they take the rest in ul'dah and player enters the wormhole, ending up in hyrule and going onto the series of raids. this being a retelling of the typical plot of most zelda games and a sort of "warrior of light meets hero of time" scenario. also there's a minor plot in-between of sort of a cultural exchange and the information on hylians being presented in a sort of "anthropologist takes notes of a newly contacted being" way, pointing out differences and similarities between them and elezens
the switch 2 release of ff14 would be a great time to make such a collab, but both square and nintendo are ran by brickheads so lol
