#FlatrEcosystem #LinuxPackaging #PyQt5

#LinuxPackaging #Flatpak - It would be really appreciated if the people managing what packages are being deprecated in a package manager, say FlatPak, would deal internally with notifying end package maintaners that use them of those deprecations, rather than expecting the end user to do that. I'm getting notifications about KDE and Gnome deprecations for OBS Studio and gSequencer, both of which see intermittent use, but the flatpak is the recommended 'stable' release. And have had updates.
@ruario @Vivaldi Maybe change their .desktop files and set their generic names to “Web Browser (Flatpak)” and “Web Browser (Snap)”? That way it’ll be humanly possible to tell them apart in the menus without having to launch them first. #LinuxPackaging
